I’ve been meaning to get on board the Tuesday Push, properly this time. The idea is that a group of Irish web based companies (or just sites!) promote each other’s products in a coordinated way. It’s a form of a leg up from your peers, as it were.

Update: Stats now shown for winners and short-listed (of their respective category), and the overall “Grand Prix” winner.
@donncha and @micheleneylon tweeted about the stats of the blogging technology behind this year’s Irish Blog Awards, organised by Damien Mulley. It got me thinking about the stats of the software used by all those short-listed in the blog awards. Here they are!

WordPress v2.7 uses an older version of Magpie RSS (v0.51) which has some bugs that may prevent your RSS feed displaying in your WordPress blog/theme.
I happen to use KB Advanced RSS Widget, on the IrelandOffline site, but I believe most RSS widgets/plugins for WordPress use.

A good few visitors have come across my blog searching for cancellation instructions/experiences, so here’s my take on it, having cancelled recently. This information is relevant to Setanta Sports UK & Ireland (not sure what process is in place for US / Australia), and it’s only for satellite (not NTL/UPC cable) customers.

In my annual desktop tidy up, I came across this transcription of mine of Bruce Springsteen’s preamble to the live version of The River on the Live 1975-1985 box set. I can’t remember if I had help, but I don’t think I did (and a quick Google tells me not).
A crackin’ version of The River, it has to be said! Enjoy!
